907 Jobs Created Through Economic Development Incentives In District 1

Jefferson County Commissioner Lashunda Scales continues to prioritize economic growth and workforce development opportunities in District 1.

Working with the Commission, more than $1 billion in economic development incentives have been approved to support projects creating 907 jobs with livable wages and benefits to the district.

Additionally, more than $23 million were approved for workforce development initiatives including $3.5 million to support Jefferson State Community College’s Student Success Center.

“Our goal is simple,” said Commissioner Lashunda Scales. “Bringing home good paying jobs and preparing residents for new industries to come.”
